Bacon Cheddar Bison Burgers

This bacon cheddar burger earned first place in our first ever Summer BBQ Recipe Contest, and after one bite, it is easy to see why. Created by one of our followers and selected as the winning recipe by our very special guest judge Felicia, aka The Starving Chef, it combines a few burger classics with the rich flavor of Great Range Bison.

There is no secret ingredient here because our winner knew that sometimes the best burgers are the ones that don’t try to do too much. The smoky bacon, melted cheddar, and Great Range Bison bring plenty of flavor to the table without overcomplicating things. This recipe proves that a few good ingredients can go a long way.

Felicia said she chose this recipe as the winner because:

“This is now one of MY favorite burger recipes! There’s no frill needed for this classic burger – the charred onions and the addition of Dijon mustard and light mayonnaise go perfectly with the savory flavor of bison.”

Bison makes a great burger because it is naturally lean while still bringing plenty of rich, hearty flavor to every bite.

Fire up the grill, add your favorite toppings, and you are ready for an easy meal the whole family will love.
